Writers, and creative people in general, have a common trait; they tend to be introverts.
Yet western society extols the extrovert, encouraging the ‘quiet’ ones to speak up, partake in group activities, join Toastmasters and put themselves out there.
Susan Cain, an introvert herself, makes a case for the opposite.
In this Bright-Side of the Web, join Susan as she describes The Power of Introverts.
And on behalf of all of us introverts, thanks Susan. Someone had to spread this message. I’m just glad it wasn’t me!
Awesome! from one introvert to another, thanks for sharing that Carolin!
Couldn’t help but marvel, the entire time she was speaking, at what a wonderful job she was doing of public speaking, particularly for an introvert. Maybe she has attended a few Toastmasters sessions in her “Year of Living Dangerously”….CHEERS to Introverts!!…<-was that too R-O-W-D-I-E?.
Glad you liked it, SuperDuper. …and I thought she did a great job speaking to the group too. I was quite envious. CHEERS away, just not so loud that people look…:)
Thanks for your comment.
Introverts .. rise up! Let’s all stand up and tell the world exactly what .. uh .. oh, wow well I guess not. LOL
Hahaha! I’m with you. Rise and shout…quietly. 🙂
